DR. BENJAMIN KOH
Dr. Koh began his journey towards becoming an orthodontist at the University of Western Ontario, where he received his degree of Honours Specialization in Medical Sciences.

Immediately upon completion of his undergraduate degree, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio to study at the prestigious Case Western Reserve University, where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine degree. He graduated in the top 10 of his class and won several awards. Following his passion for orthodontics, he chose to further his education at a two and a half year Orthodontic Residency Program at the University of Colorado in Denver; obtaining his combined Orthodontic Specialty Degree and Masters of Science in Dentistry.
Outside of orthodontics, Dr. Koh loves to stay active by being an avid volleyball, basketball, and badminton player, and pursuing his other passions like cooking, fishing, and travelling. Together, Dr. Koh and his wife live in Fort McMurray and love contributing to the community!
Fun fact: Did you know that he has his black belt in Tae Kwon Do and competed as a collegiate gymnast and cheerleader for the University of Western Ontario Mustang Cheerleading team, notorious for their national win-streak of over 20 years?

AMY
Orthodontic Assistant
Amy is a local gal who grew up in Fort mcmurray. She graduated dental Assisting school in 2008. You will find her helping out at Fort McMurray Ortho when we need extra hands! Amy loves spending time with her family, being involved with her church, and spending time outdoors.
Myra
Orthodontic Assistant
Born and raised in Stephenville, NL, Myra brings decades of dental expertise and a deep passion for patient care to our team. Her career in dental assisting began in 1988 when she earned her Level 1 certification through the NL Career Academy, followed by her Level 2 certification from Holland College in 1994. Dedicated to continuing education, Myra recently expanded her skill set by completing her Orthodontic Module through Columbia College in 2024.

When she isn’t helping craft beautiful smiles, Myra loves spending time in the great outdoors. You can usually find her camping, biking, hiking, or making memories with her family and loved ones.
RACHEL
Office Manager
Rachel moved to Fort McMurray from Denver, Colorado where she taught elementary students for many years. She is using all that she has learned from her Master’s Degree in Education to help manage the busy office.

Although teaching is very different from working in an office, many of her skills such as organizing and keeping people engaged come in handy for our office. Rachel enjoys hiking, watching movies, spending time with her husband, children and staying connected with her Bible study group. She feels most successful when she puts a smile on our patients’ faces.

Cindy enjoys reading, crocheting and spending time with her husband, kids, and especially her grandkids. She keeps busy by staying involved with the local skating club and teaching the Children’s Sunday School class at church. Lazy days always include her 2 dogs on her lap.

Shelly was born in Grandview, Manitoba. She enjoys playing cards, bowling, and reading. Shelly loves working from home, connecting with our patients. She met her husband in Fort Mcmurray and married him in 1985. She also enjoys spending time with her 2 sons , daughters-in-laws, and her 4 grandkids.

Loretta completed her Orthodontic Module at the U of A in 2019 and has been on our team since then. Loretta values spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys reading, listening to country music, crafting, camping and Starbucks!

Orthodontic Assistant
Aina is one of our lovely dental assistants in the office. She studied in the Philippines and upgraded her dental assisting at Vancouver Community College in 2007.

She obtained her Orthodontic Module from the University of Alberta in 2012. Aina and her family moved to Fort McMurray in 2008, and she has been on our team since 2011. Aina enjoys working with our younger patients who are the same age as her kids. Aina is very family-oriented and enjoys her Christian group.
Ruta
Office Administrator
Ruta was born in Asmara, Eritrea, East Africa. She studied Medical Office Administration (MOA) in Calgary, Alberta, and has more than 10 years of experience as a community worker passionately supporting and working closely with people.In her free time, Ruta loves spending quality moments with her family and enjoying both sunrise and sunset.
Nora
Orthodontic Assistant
Nora moved to Fort McMurray in 2004 as a live-in caregiver. After working as a dentist in the Philippines, she continued her education in Canada and became a dental assistant. Since 2007, she had worked in several dental offices and eventually found her home in orthodontics with Dr. Koh, where she truly loves working with the team over the years, her coworkers have become like a second family.

She loves connecting with patients and making each person feel comfortable, welcomed, and excited about their orthodontic journey. She finds it especially rewarding to see patients’ confidence grow as their smiles transform. Outside of work, She enjoys travelling, reading, and spending quality time with her family.
Lindsey
Orthodontic Assistant
Lindsey is originally from New Brunswick and moved to Alberta with her husband and their two daughters.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family at the camper and cheering on her two daughters at hockey.
Lindsey is excited to be part of the orthodontic team and looks forward to getting to know and supporting each patient throughout their smile journey.

Orthodontic Assistant
Originally from Brazil, Julio Cezar is a foreign-trained Dentist and Endodontist. He moved to Fort McMurray with his wife and daughter to build a new chapter with our community.
